Dr. Jinane El Khoury obtained her Medical Doctorate from the American University of Beirut in 2009. She went on to pursue her dermatology residency training at the American University of Beirut medical center with an emphasis on general dermatology, dermatopathology and basic science. After her residency, she was awarded a one-year scholarship from the College of Medicine of the Hospitals in Paris (Bourse du collège de médecine des hôpitaux de Paris). She completed one year of advanced training at the Cochin Tarnier hospital in Paris in the field of cutaneous oncology, with an added exposure to the management of connective tissue diseases, bullous diseases, female genital mucous membrane diseases, and skin ulcers. She was awarded a Diploma of Specialized Medical Training in October 2014 (DFMS, Diplôme de formation médicale spécialisée).
She later returned to Lebanon and joined the Kesserwan Medical Center in 2015 as a medical dermatologist, as well as The Skin Clinic in Beirut in 2016. She is currently a full-time clinical assistant professor and program director at the department of Dermatology at the Lebanese American University Hospital- Rizk Hospital in Beirut and St. John Hospital in Jounieh, and a full time faculty at the Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chaghoury School of Medicine at the Lebanese American University.
Dr. El Khoury is the author of numerous publications in the fields of general dermatology and dermatopathology. Her interest is in managing challenging medical dermatology cases as well as female genital mucosal diseases.
